The opening sketch was a feature that opened most episodes of SM:tv Live.
Premise[]
The purpose of the opening sketch was to begin to show in a light hearted fashion. The topics of each sketch varied widely, with some taking place within the SM:tv set and others within their own purpose built surroundings, and ultimately ended in one of the performers announcing "Here's what's coming up on today's show." Most often they featured the main presenters but on occasion did feature guests, such as Carol Vorderman in a parody of gameshow Countdown.
